Assassinations was the subject of Congressman Ron Paul’s February 24, 2010 speech on the House Floor—a response to the White House’s declaration that they are assassinating American citizens on foreign lands.
MSNBC responded with a segment entitled, Anger in America, and called groups like the Oath Keepers, the Constitution Party, and the John Birch Society, “anti-government patriot groups,” extremists, Nazis, and lumped such Constitutional-loving Americans into hate groups—nothing could be further from the truth.
When did opposition to murdering a nation’s own citizens become extremism? When did God change, “Thou shalt not kill,” to “Thou shalt not kill American citizens unless the White House authorizes it?” Where in the Constitution does it authorize the Executive Branch to murder its own citizens without a trial?
Did Obama approve the assassinations?
If President Obama gave the order to assassinate Americans then doesn't that makes him an accomplice to murder? If he did not then he must immediately come forward with the names of the accused and clear his administration.
From Wikipedia:
Murder, as defined in common law countries, is the unlawful killing of another human being with intent (or malice aforethought), and generally this state of mind distinguishes murder from other forms of unlawful homicide (such as manslaughter). As the loss of a human being inflicts enormous grief upon the individuals close to the victim, as well as the fact that the commission of a murder deprives the victim of their worldly existence, most societies both present and in antiquity have considered it a most serious crime worthy of the harshest of punishment. Typically a convicted murder suspect is given a life sentence or even the death penalty for such an act.
Can a murderous government provide good government?
And can murderers be trusted to make good decisions? These questions must be asked by every American, although the answer is obvious. Would you live next door to a serial murderer? Would you allow a man with a record of homicide to care for your children? Of course not, so why would you want to be governed by murderers?
Anyone who has taken part in these crimes is without doubt past feeling and must immediately resign, but can we really expect them to resign? Once void of conscience, once the Spirit of God has withdrawn, they are no longer able to make good decisions and are no longer capable of good government.
One assassination is too many
Once a person commits murder, his soul is stained with the blood of the murdered. And if he murders again he becomes a serial murderer. Does anyone not think they will stop short of assassinating Americans on American soil? No wonder more than 100 million humans were murdered by their own governments in the 20th century alone.
Congress approves assassinations by not stopping them
More than one million Iraqis have been killed since Congress voted to deploy troops without a formal declaration of war, based upon a lie of weapons of mass destruction. To quote an email sent from Congressman Dennis Kucinich on March 2, 2010:
Washington has a lot of money. It has trillions for war, but no money for housing. Money for war, but no money for health care. Money for war, but no money for education. Money for war - no money to rebuild our cities. No money to create jobs, but money for war.
How many times have we asked Congress to stop the wars and stop spending our nation into bankruptcy? But behind all of this is something very sinister and disturbing—by not immediately putting a stop to the White House approved assassinations, Congress has allowed the Executive Branch to turn our Republic into a police state. If murdering one’s own citizens does not define a police state, then what does?
No forgiveness for murder
Through Moses, God commanded the Israelites, “Thou shalt not kill [1].” And, “Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses [2].” Jesus not only repeated the commandment to not kill, he refined it and declared we would be in danger of punishments for even being angry with our brother without a cause. [3]
Modern scripture from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints emphasizes the seriousness of murder, “Thou shalt not kill; and he that kills shall not have forgiveness in this world, nor in the world to come. [4]”
Why can’t murderers repent?
To fully repent we must seek restitution, or restore that which was lost as a result of our sin. But a murderer can’t bring back the murdered, so he or she cannot fully repent. As religious leader Spencer W. Kimball explained:
Perhaps one of the reasons murder is so serious is that having taken a life, the murderer cannot restore it. Restitution in full is not possible. [5]
For the American Republic to work, only virtuous men and women must govern
Said John Adams, the 2nd President of the United States:
Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other. [6]
If you consider yourself to be smart and capable, honest and virtuous, is it your duty and obligation to run for office. If your elected officials have proven to be immoral, they must not be permitted to govern because immoral leaders are not capable of good government.
We have become an immoral and distracted nation
We spend our free time watching TV, sports, and videos, texting, browsing the Internet, and playing computer games. According to a recent study by the University of Sidney’s Graduate Program in Sexual Health, SEVENTY per cent of men and 30 per cent of women view pornography online, which not only diminishes their ability to govern themselves, but desensitizes and paralyzes their ability to choose moral leaders.
While we have been distracted, all three branches of government have been infiltrated with immoral men and women who not only commit crimes against humanity, but now hideous crimes against the United States Constitution and the citizens they represent.
Expecting good government from immoral leaders is like driving an ATV on inner tubes alone. Rocks and thorns will create holes. Patching the holes seems useless because more will come. It is time to replace the inner tubes and restore the tires.
What is next?
If assassinations are not immediately stopped, you can be sure that assassinating American citizens on American soil is next.
